PM Hun Sen and First Lady to Preside Over Asia-Pacific Conference on Persons with Disabilities

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen and First Lady Bun Rany Hun Sen will preside over the 5th Asia-Pacific Conference on Persons with Disabilities on "Environmental Community Development" from 15-17 March 2023 at the Sokha Hotel in Phnom Penh.

The conference will be held under the theme, "Strengthening the Economic and Social Empowerment of People with Disabilities During and After the Outbreak of Covid-19 through Environmental Community Development."

As planned, the Prime Minister and First Lady will preside over the opening ceremony of this important event. The conference will be attended by government agencies on disability, development partners, civil society organizations, the private sector and persons with disabilities from about 31 countries in the Asia-Pacific region, with about 600 participants in total.

The Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation and the Disability Action Council sincerely hopes that the media and all national and international organizations will help to promote this conference program widely.
